Fire Resistant Cable APPLICATION
Fire resistant cables are used in power stations, mass transit underground passenger systems, airports, petrochemical plants, hotels, hospitals and high-rise buildings — environments where circuit integrity must be maintained during a fire to keep emergency lighting, fire alarms, lifts and critical control systems operational.
In these applications, the cable is required to continue supplying power under direct fire exposure, which is why our FFX100 series is tested to BS 6387 and IEC 60331 for circuit integrity.
Fire Resistant Cable STANDARDS
Basic design adapted from BS EN 50525-3-31
